FMPC and Campus Police Support Staff

Benefits eligible support staff, with the approval of supervision and after the employee has completed their conditional period, may take two personal days (16 hours) during the calendar year. After the fifth year of service (beginning at 61 months), each support staff member is entitled to three personal days (24 hours) with pay each calendar year. At the eleventh year of service (beginning at 121 months) the support staff member is entitled to a fourth personal day (32 hours).

FMPC and Campus Police personnel can take personal days in increments of 2 hours (quarter), 4 hours (half day), or 8 hours (whole day).

Personal days may not be accumulated and carried into a new year. Personal days are not a terminable benefit and are not paid upon termination of employment. Campus Police/Security Officers have different accrual rules that apply to personal days. All other rules pertaining to personal time are applicable to Campus Police and FMPC staff.

Part-time support staff hired after January 1, 2003, are ineligible for personal days.
