     Two of �鶹����’s Early Music groups—the Baroque Ensemble and the Monteverdi Ensemble (aka “The Monties”) team up to present The Rustic Life—Renaissance and Baroque music about shepherds, shepherdesses, hunters, farmers, etc. The charming and tuneful selections will come from Italy, France, Germany, England, and Scotland.  Composers represented include Monteverdi, Lully, Vivaldi, Telemann, and Bach.  The Baroque Ensemble will be joined by harpist extraordinaire and Peabody Conservatory graduate Liv Castor!

     The Allentown Symphony Orchestra presents New Chamber Music in Peter Hall. Included in the program are new works by Moravian U. composition students Nina Worsley (’25) and Calvin Deifer (’26).  Nina’s piece, A Childhood Spring, is for clarinet, violin, and cello, and  Calvin’s piece, Scoundrel’s Sonata, is for violin and piano.  From ASO Music Director Diane Wittry: “We are very excited to have received more than 60 applications for our New Music Call for Scores. The talent level is quite impressive, and I know that everyone will enjoy the concert.  Each of the composers will be there to talk about their piece that will be performed by members of the Allentown Symphony Orchestra.”
