WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

The BA in Well-Being Psychology includes foundational courses in psychology, research methods, and statistical analysis, as well as specialized courses in areas such as well-being across cultures and facilitating happiness. 

Through a combination of theoretical learning and practical application, you’ll develop skills in assessment, intervention, data analysis, and program development aimed at enhancing individual, organizational, and community well-being.

Graduates of this program will understand:

  • Psychological Theories and Applications: Develop a comprehensive understanding of key psychological theories, concepts, and principles.
  • Research Skills: Design, conduct, and critically evaluate research related to mental health and well-being using appropriate methodologies.
  • Well-Being and Mental Health: Develop and implement strategies to promote mental health and well-being in various settings at individual, organizational, community, and societal levels.
  • Ethical Standards: Understand and adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards relevant to the field of psychology and mental health and foster a commitment to ongoing professional development and ethical practice.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that human resource specialists earned a median annual salary of $67,650 per year as of May 2023.1

Health and Wellness Coaches
Health and wellness coaches work with clients or organizations to develop plans that improve individual well-being. Depending on their prior experience, coaches may focus on improving clients’ diet and exercise, relationship-building, work-life balance, or another area. Salary.com reports that health and wellness coaches in the U.S. earned a median annual salary of $65,800 as of November 2024.2

Social and Community Service Managers
Social and community service managers coordinate, direct, and promote programs designed to improve community well-being. They can work in the public, private, or non-profit sectors and act as case managers for a range of service types. They may plan and manage budgets, make staffing decisions, direct outreach or fundraising efforts, and work one-on-one with service clients. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that social and community service managers earned a median annual salary of $77,030 as of May 2023.3
