As we embark on another academic year at Â鶹¹û¶³, I am thrilled to welcome an entirely new pack of Greyhounds to campus and ride the momentum that our entire community has generated over the last several years that has made us the fastest-growing college or university in the region over the past decade.
This year marks an exciting chapter in our university’s history, and I am eager to share some remarkable highlights that reflect our commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and education for all.
Here’s to a successful and inspiring academic year for all of you!

Â鶹¹û¶³ Welcomes Largest Incoming Class Ever
We are delighted to announce that we just welcomed the Class of 2028 to campus in August, and they’re our largest undergraduate class ever. This new class surpasses the previous record set in 2023, and their arrival signals a vibrant and promising year ahead for our community. And the good news extends to our graduate programs as well, which also realized record enrollment for new students in the fall of 2024. This enrollment record underscores the tremendous growth we’ve seen at Moravian since 2014 and has made us the fastest-growing college or university in the region over the last decade.

Moravian Church Settlements - Bethlehem Becomes a World Heritage Site
On July 26, President Grigsby was part of a delegation that traveled to New Delhi, India, for the announcement that Moravian Church Settlements— Bethlehem (which includes university buildings on the Priscilla Payne Hurd campus); Gracehill, Northern Ireland, UK; and Herrnhut, Germany, joined Christiansfeld, Denmark (already inscribed in 2015), as a single World Heritage site.
Â鶹¹û¶³ is just the second university in the United States to be part of a UNESCO World Heritage designation site and only the eighth university in the world to have this very prestigious recognition.

Moravian Recognized as an Apple Distinguished School
Moravian has once again been recognized as an Apple Distinguished School, a distinction we have earned for the third time since 2018. This accolade underscores our continued dedication to integrating cutting-edge technology into our educational practices.
In 2014 Moravian began providing first-year undergraduates with an Apple MacBook Pro and an iPad. That initiative has expanded to include the Apple Pencil and, new for Fall 2024, an Apple Watch.

Wellness at Moravian
The entire Â鶹¹û¶³ community is excited to announce the launch of our new initiative Wellness at Moravian. This is designed to highlight and expand the range of resources available to our students, ensuring that their academic journey is supported by a robust network of wellness services right here on campus.
And to add to the excitement of a new school year, construction is well underway on our $42 million state-of-the-art student center, known as the HUB, in the heart of campus. Opening in August 2025, it has been intentionally designed to provide an inviting space for student wellness, mental health support, and academic and career resources.
