Pennsylvania Impressionism: Past & Present

Bethlehem, Pa., October 9, 2014- Moravian College's Payne Gallery will open with an exhibit featuring fine works of Pennsylvania Impressionism on Thursday, October 9 and run until November 9. Payne Gallery, located on Priscilla Payne Hurd Campus (South) in historic downtown Bethlehem will host an opening reception on October 9, from 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m.. Admission is free of charge and it is open to the public; refreshments will be served.

The opening exhibition is called "Pennsylvania Impressionism: Past & Present," which features the work from various groups of contemporary and impressionistic painters from Pennsylvania. Some featured artists of this display are Edward Redfield, W. Elmer Schofield, Daniel Garber, George Sotter, Fern Coppedge, and other major Pennsylvania Impressionists. Contemporary artists will also be featured in this exhibition, such as Joseph Barrett, Jennifer Hansen Rolli, John Kane, Desmond McRory, Anita Schrager, David Stier, and Christopher Willett.

The hours of Payne Gallery are as follows: Tuesday - Sunday noon - 4 a.m. Closed: Mondays, major holidays, and college breaks. All openings are 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. on the opening night of the show.
