Moravian College announces in-person, on-campus commencement ceremonies will take place May 8, 2021

Three ceremonies will be held to accommodate the Class of 2021 and Class of 2020

BETHLEHEM, PA, March 8, 2021: Today, Moravian College announced that it will hold commencement ceremonies for the Class of 2021 and the Class of 2020 on the college’s Main Street campus on Saturday, May 8, 2021.  Two ceremonies will be held for the Class of 2021 and one ceremony will be held for the Class of 2020.  Graduates for both classes will be able to invite three guests to their respective ceremonies, which will be held outdoors on John Makuvek Field in the center of the historic Main Street campus.

“After a tumultuous year dealing with the pandemic, the entire Moravian College community is excited that this year’s commencement ceremony will be held in person and on campus,” said Bryon Grigsby, president of Moravian College.  “We think it’s important to include the Class of 2020 in this year’s graduation event, since their senior year was cut short last year when the pandemic began, and the Class of 2021 will also get the send-off they deserve, surrounded by family and friends.”

The commencement ceremonies on May 8 will be staggered throughout the day to accommodate the graduates and their guests. The college will continue to observe and adhere to all COVID-19 protocols in place for outdoor events taking place in Pennsylvania.  All attendees coming to campus will be required to wear a mask and maintain physical distancing.
